You may wonder why our name is CCO and not ACO or the like, however we used to be known in the past under different names (such as Computer Chess Organization), and all of those names yielded CCO as the abbreviation, so we have decided to keep the acronym CCO for historical reasons. We have also recently moved from an old location, which explains why our Google rank is such as it is.

The main goal of CCO is to promote Advanced Chess and organize Advanced Chess play on the Internet. We are referring here to Advanced Chess as introduced and described by Garry Kasparov and adherents to the idea. CCO also actively promotes and supports Free Speech on the Internet, and especially with regard to online forums, message boards and other sorts of discussion groups. Please visit our Free Speech page too.
